Nico LeBlanc

Ecosystem Tender

Child of seawater and sunshine. Nico Le Blanc (They/Them) emerges from a lineage of Afro-Indigenous Caribbean Maroons, farmers, medicine women, builders, and bakers.

Nico’s heart-work of tending to land and relationship is activated through kincentric circles of radical care, radical mutual aid, and radical imagination.

Focused on non-transactional ways of being and living, Nico is the Co-WorldBuilder and DreamWeaver of the liberatory land project, Unshackled Alchemy. Rooted in Black liberation, joy, healing, rest, creativity, and play; they vision and experiment in what it means to live outside of extractive systems.

In addition to land stewardship, Nico is a DJ, collage and watercolor artist, crochet enthusiast, yoga and meditation facilitator, and blossoming herbalist.

Nico has completed the Oregon State Permaculture Program, is an alum of the Soul Fire Farm Farming In Relationship to Earth (FIRE) Immersion, and member of NorthEast Farmers of Color (NEFOC) Land Trust. They also serve as the digital artist for North Carolina Black Leadership and Organizing Collective (NCBLOC) and board member for The Healing Schools Project.
